Ummah Thai Melton in Victoria

"Went here for dinner on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by this unassuming Thai restaurant. There are tables in the back of the restaurant and the front is more for takeaways/deliveries. The chicken skewers, yellow curry and the beef in the massaman were the standouts for us - I don't think I've had beef this tender before. It literally melted in your mouth. The yellow curry flavour and spices were spot on, really nice - fragrant and spicy without being overpowering. The only thing I could wish for is more potato in the curries. They were perfect - buttery, soft and to die for! The service was very good too, we weren't left waiting to order and the food came out quickly. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Portion sizes for the mains are also pretty large and the restaurant offered us sharing bowls, so if you don't eat a lot you could easily share one between two people. I would definitely go back here to try some of their other menu items!"

"Wonderful Absolutely fantastic food. I tried the spring rolls, Tom Kha Soup, Green Curry and Pad Thai. Add the flavourful Thai Tea to go with it. Everything was just sumptuous. Above all, the owner and all the staff were extremely cooperative and caring. Highly recommended"

"One of the best Thai food I’ve had in Melbourne! Absolutely would recommend visiting, the food was delicious, the service, staff and atmosphere were all amazing!! We ordered the Spring rolls, Tom Yum Soup, Chicken Chili Stir Fry, Coconut Juice and finished off the meal with Mango Sticky rice. Everything tasted amazing! Would definitely come here again :)"

"First time here lastnight, what I ordered was so yummy was looking for a delicious massaman beef since Thai Alley closed in Watergardens a few years back and finally found 1, absolutely delicious so tasty. The Roti bread OMG warm and fresh, the satay sauce was rustic and authentic chunks of peanuts in sauce. The service from the young server was so good, she looked after us newcomers very well, Thank you. Definitely would go back. Only 1 small feedback, the egg fried rice was slightly bland but no biggie that is not going to stop me from returning. Thank you Ummah for the delicious authentic food"

"Clean and neat environment, good dining atmosphere suits for some special events. We enjoyed the food especially for the green curry fried rice and the coconut ice cream, they are very nice, the coconut ice cream has lots coconut flesh in it and not too sweet, which made it very impressivethere are lots of vegetarian options available and we love the service as well, really welcoming. We would like to come back and recommend to others."

"My first time coming to Ummah Thai was for an iftar organised by a women’s group. The arrangements were excellent, especially the privacy and the dedicated place to pray. The customer service was amazing and very welcoming. The menu was pre-decided, and everything was well organised. The tom yum soup was especially delicious — really enjoyed it!"
